ABOUT THE COZY GEEK

The Cozy Geek is a small-batch home fragrance brand for people who like their reality with a little more magic in it.

I’m Chantal, the person behind the candles, wax melts, room sprays, labels, photos, packing tape and occasional questionable scent experiment.

The Cozy Geek actually started years ago in the Netherlands, when I first began making candles and wax melts. Later, after moving to Northern Norway, I built my home fragrance brand Scents Of Salten and gained years of hands-on experience developing, making and selling fragrance products.

But somewhere along the way, I kept missing this world.

The slightly stranger one.

The one where fragrance could smell like a tavern at the end of the road, a campfire after a long quest, an enchanted forest you were specifically told not to enter, or a fictional man with deeply questionable morals.

So The Cozy Geek came home.

Every scent begins with a scene, trope, mood or world I want to bring to life. From there, I build the fragrance, colour and artwork around it, then make everything in small batches in my workshop in Beiarn, Northern Norway.

I’m a designer, a maker, a reader, a gamer, and someone who has spent an entirely unreasonable amount of time wondering what fictional places should smell like.

The experience I’ve built through years of working with home fragrance now gives The Cozy Geek a much stronger foundation than it had the first time around — but the heart of it is still exactly the same:
